ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Kailua, O’ahu Mailani’s musical & vocal stylings emerge from a not so forgotten past where Kani Ka Pila happened every evening after dinner in her family home.

She started to sing at the age of 3.  Her first professional recording took place at the age of 16 for her cousin’s band as a background vocalist for SOULFREE.

She later went on to write songs with her high school friend of heart throbs and breakups in the award winning group Keahiwai.

In 2009, Mailani released her first solo Hawaiian album as it reached levels of success & garnered her first Female Vocalist OTY Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award in 2010.She has performed for sold out crowds throughout the islands, America, Japan , Mexico, South Korea, Australia & even Ireland.

Beyond her awards & travels Mailani upholds her cultural integrity & responsibility in speaking her language & in giving back to her community young and old.One of her most proud achievements was sharing and teaching ukulele and singing Hawaiian Songs at Pohai Nani ; a care home for kupuna.
